KKG is committed to strengthening vital community partners to ensure reliable and resilient emergency response and recovery. A vital component of our emergency planning work is identifying key partnerships within the community that can add to the overall resiliency of a business to endure and recover from a local disaster.
Local government, while bearing the initial responsibility to provide emergency support functions around a catastrophic event, cannot provide these services alone. By identifying vital partnerships with non-governmental organizations and businesses that are in a position to provide essential support and services, the local government can engage these services through relationships, agreements and engaging in training and exercises to test and evaluate roles and responsibilities. Both non-governmental organizations and businesses benefit from business continuity planning and training, to ensure they are able to continue to provide their essential services. KKG is dedicated to identifying these partners, assisting in building critical relationships, defining roles and responsibilities, and building the continuity capabilities for these vital partners.
KKG uses the traditional model of business continuity planning but adds the value of tapping into the critical partnership within the local government/community they serve. With the preparedness step of being part of the emergency response, relief/recovery team, a business will not only survive long term, but will also benefit from a sense of community, that is an investment to their future success.
KKG has provided business continuity planning to food banks, members of community foundations, Chambers of Commerce, vintners associations and COAD/VOAD organizations.
